B-EAGER stands for Bowen – Education & Advocacy, Generating Evidence & Research.

Where We Are Now:
Establishing a Research Culture
We’re at the beginning of a long-term journey — laying the foundation for credible, consistent, and practitioner-informed research in Bowen Therapy and Oncology Massage.
This early stage is focused on creating the mindset, tools, and support needed to grow a confident, evidence-aware profession.
What’s Next
Building research literacy
Supporting practitioners to understand research basics — what makes evidence strong, and how to engage with it.
Trialling outcome measures
Introducing tools like PROMs (Patient-Reported Outcome Measures) to help capture what clients are really experiencing.
Developing structured case reporting
Offering templates, guidance, and support so that case studies can become credible evidence over time.
Forming academic partnerships
Collaborating with research leaders and institutions to guide our methods and mentor future contributors.
Nurturing a research mindset
Encouraging practitioners to reflect, document, and question: “What do I know?” → “What can I measure?” → “What can I contribute to the profession?”
Collaboration and communication
More therapists contribute to dialogue (evidence base) about safety and efficacy of their practice.
Laying this groundwork now, ensures Bowen Therapy and Oncology Massage can speak the language of research — and be recognised for the care, insight, and outcomes they provide.
